GUITAR 3D CAM

All these video tutorials are designed to cover commands that are related to the level of the course. As you practice these commands over and over again you will acquire a basic skill level that will allow you to achieve any type of tool path situation. As we get into higher tutorial levels we will be learning more about other tool path needs and types of tools.

Guitar necks come in many shapes and sizes, some are straight and other have a scarf joint but in most cases the tool paths are about the same with a slight change in approach. What becomes important is how you would like to machine the neck and finger board and how that would fit into your production plan. The key to the whole machining process is indexing and clamping keeping the setup time to a minimum and allowing for maximum thru put.

Guitar bodies also come in many shapes and sizes, this is where you will need to work out the machining process ahead of time so that the sequencing does not run into dead end. Again the key is indexing and clamping on the same fixture.
